The Berlage

This exhibition presents Mine Atlas, a publication exploring the spatial impact of the Netherland’s mining industry in its southernmost province of Limburg. Through archival research and newly produced drawings and maps, the atlas traces interconnected landscapes above and below ground, bringing together fragments of industrial, urban, and subterranean histories to reveal how a dominant extractive industry shaped the region’s built environment and territorial development. The exhibition, the culmination of the long-standing introductory course Project NL, will be on view from Thursday, January 22 to Friday, February 28, 2026, in the Architecture Department Corridor Gallery.
