Cristina Díaz Moreno and Efren García Grinda are architects and founders and principals of amid.cero9, a Madrid based practice. Both have been University Professors and Directors of the Studio diazmoreno garciagrinda at the Angewandte, University of Applied Arts Vienna, and they have been Diploma Unit Masters at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London during one decade, University Professors at the IKA (Institute for Art and Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts) in Vienna, and at the SAC (Städelschule School of Architecture) in Frankfurt, as well as visiting professors at the SoA Princeton University and at the GSD Harvard University, among other institutions.

The Berlage Keynotes, organized as part of the Faculty of Architecture’s Public Program, is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts speak on how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. For the fall 2024 semester, speakers will include amid.cero9, ARB Architects, Barclay & Crousse, Robert Hutchison Architecture, Sam Chermayeff Office, Space Encounters, and SUMMACUMFEMMER.
