Building Planetary Capacity
OOZE
This lecture presents the most recent work of OOZE, a Rotterdam-based office founded in 2003 by Eva Pfannes and Sylvain Hartenberg. Working across scales, from temporary art works to regional strategies, the cyclic closed-loop processes found in nature are the foundation for each of OOZE’s interventions and integrate the human scale with a comprehensive design vision. The work of OOZE has been exhibited most recently at the Milan Triennial, the A/D/O gallery New York, the São Paulo Architecture Biennial, and the Sitio Roberto Burle Marx.
The Berlage Keynotes is an ongoing lecture series featuring internationally prominent architects, designers, and thinkers who are at the forefront of design discourse and innovation. A selection of speakers working from different disciplinary perspectives and in different geographic, cultural, and political contexts present how their work engages with contemporary issues and debates. This spring semester, speakers include Christ & Gantenbein, OOZE, Francesca Torzo, Manthey Kula, PRODUCTORA, Anna Puigjaner, Vector Architects, Kieran Long, and Diener & Diener.
